This collaboration between brian eno and cluster members dieter moebius and hans-joachim roedelius may sound dated in this era of digital recordings, but the music still possesses a special appeal/5(30).

The second harvest from Brian Eno's collaborative venture with Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius of Cluster, 'After the Heat' sounds as fresh as a daisy and could probably lay claim to sowing the seeds for a whole cavalcade of genres that range from creamy-electronica and synth-fed hip-hop through to breakcore.

Stylistically, it fits between the contemporary work of Eno (Music For Films, Lodger) and Cluster, with the caveat that I prefer Cluster and Eno albums from this period to.

Eno/Moebius/Roedelius After the Heat on Import LP Brian Eno was certainly instrumental in creating and popularizing the concept of “ambient music” – but it was not his invention alone. The German musicians Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius (Cluster) were brothers in spirit.
